R1: The U-Digitalize Model for digitalizing of care services for people with functional diversity

This project arises in response to the need imposed by the exceptional conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. Restrictions on mobility have been added to the existing obstacles for a high percentage of users coming from rural, peripheral areas or with poor public transport services. The project partners hemselves and members of their professional networks have been able to improvise user service mechanisms based on ICTs, which are a great source of information for the analysis and development of these necessary inspirational models. The development of the first result of the project seeks to innovate by providing directly transferable benchmarks for digital transformation in the care of this vulnerable group. Currently there are no models aimed at the digital transformation of social-health care organizations in the third sector, so the initiatives detected and analyzed in the planning phase of the project have revealed the innovative character in itself of a DT Model of the characteristics we propose. This result aims to provoke changes at a systemic level, in third sector organizations, promoting their modernization and digital transformation. This impact, direct on organizations and their professionals, benefits users, people with functional diversity and dependents, who will have the opportunity to count on inclusive digital services and will also contribute to improving their digital skills and abilities. Although the Digitization Model is aimed at the third sector of social and health care, this can be a transferable reference to other organizations of the third sector that, likewise, lack proven examples of digital transformation of services to users.

R2: U-Digitalize Training Programme

While the health sector (public and private) has greater organizational and financial capacity to carry out the digital transition, third sector organizations dedicated to the care and attention of dependent people are in a disadvantaged position to be able to advance in this direction. Sense, the challenges to the digital transformation of the sector are fundamentally related to staff training and this training programme will respond to this need. Basing on the DigComp as a reference, we will create specific contents for the 5 basic areas of competence, applied to the development of guidance and support services for people with functional diversity. Training Programme will count on 2 main areas/sections: how to digitalize your care activities (this section will focus on those digital skills that the professionals need so they can provide support and services from remote settings) and how to care yourself: overcoming obstacles for a healthy online activity (this module will be aimed at empowering professionals to be able to make safe and responsible use of technologies, protecting themselves both physically and psychologically from the risks of online activity. Therefore, the gaps are focused on the training of these professionals, on providing them with the necessary knowledge and digital competences, clearly oriented towards the facilitation of digital services for their users and this is the main innovation of this program. This result intends to impact by making professionals aware of the importance of adapting to new working schemes in digital environments in order to offer quality services to users. They will improve their digital competences necessary for virtualizing their work, adapting to possible imposed restrictions, but also to spread the possibilities of providing services to vulnerable users (people with functional diversity) that find it difficult attend face-to-face sessions. Although the training programme will be adapted to the professionals from socio-health care sector, it is also transferable to other professionals that provide assistance, i.e. job counselors, psychologists, social workers, etc. to any other collective.
